Challenge
Organizing an event is always demanding, and Uniphore’s team faced the typical challenges. Coordinating with 200+ participants from various countries quickly became chaotic, consuming valuable time and requiring significant manpower to stay organized. They wanted to manage all conference communications (SKOFY 24 and SKOFY 25) from one place.
Previously, they relied on emails to share agendas, brochures, schedules, and announcements. While this worked, it created clutter, forcing attendees to dig through old emails. Moreover, attendees had to organize their own schedules and hope they read communications on time.

We streamlined the entire communication process with a white-labeled Uniphore Event App powered by Nunify. Using an easy-to-use admin portal, Mehek’s team created bite-sized communications sent as app notifications. Unlike emails, push notifications were more likely to be read and acted on, making them ideal for engagement.
The Uniphore team scheduled notifications in advance, saving time and reducing on-the-ground workload. If unexpected delays or changes occurred, they could instantly send announcements to keep everyone updated.
To simplify access for attendees, the app provided a dedicated space for brochures, schedules, agendas, and other key documents. Everything was organized in one place, eliminating clutter and ensuring easy access.
The biggest impact was Nunify significantly reducing the event team’s workload. What once required nearly 40 people to manage the conference was streamlined to just one person using the app.
Attendees stayed informed effortlessly with easy access to information. Plus, Uniphore went eco-friendly by eliminating printed materials.

The Uniphore team ran into a classic problem with their conferences: low energy. They had people from all over the world attending but no effective icebreakers. With attendees unfamiliar with each other, engagement was low, which made the conference experience less enjoyable.

Solution
Nunify's event app is built to boost engagement with its social-media like features. The Uniphore team was able to spice things up from the get-go.
The event app comes with a newsfeed feature where attendees can create posts, leave comments and likes. It doesn’t stop there though. The Uniphore team could host polls and quizzes in a simple multiple-choice questions (MCQs) format that’d appear as posts on the newsfeed.
To add to the competitive spirit, the event app is built to host contests (ex: photo contests, meme contests) too. The leaderboard feature was most rewarding. For all forms of interaction with the event app (likes, posts, comments, participation in games or sessions), attendees could win points that accumulated on the leaderboard.
Additionally, Mehek’s team were able to organise an on-site scavenger hunt with 84 delegates, managing all requirements from one single point - the event app.
With Nunify, the Uniphore team effortlessly boosted engagement like never before. A total of 168 participants actively engaged with the games and contests, achieving an impressive 50.3% engagement rate.
The leaderboards and the newsfeed were the top viewed features on the event app.
Gamification activities received a combined total of 1000+ views.
A total of 10k plus UG (user-generated content) was created in a span of 3 days.
Interestingly, the Nunify app didn’t just connect attendees —it turned them into advocates. Attendees enthusiastically shared their experiences, generating buzz and encouraging even more participation.
For new employees, it showcased the company’s vibrant culture, creating a welcoming and engaging environment. …employees became advocates for each other. And that's a really cool thing. The content on the app’s newsfeed was a hot topic. People introduced the app to others. It increased the engagement between the employees.

To ensure that the conference could be accessed only by Uniphore's employees, we set up a simple, unique solution. The employees' emails were added to a special whitelist. They received one-time passwords sent directly to their emails to register for the conference and access the app.
