Day 1
Clinical Foundations of Culinary Health

Day 1 focuses on the clinical foundations of Food as Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine, combining evidence-based lectures with interactive learning experiences. Sessions explore the role of nutrition in chronic illness, diabetes, obesity, menopause, and physician well-being, while integrating practical applications through cooking demonstrations, wellness activities, and motivational change strategies.
Participants will engage with nationally recognized physicians and culinary health experts while earning CME credits through a balanced program of didactic education, applied learning, and interdisciplinary discussion. Both in-person and virtual attendance options are available for most sessions.
Day 2
Train-the-Trainer: Implementing Culinary Health Programs

Day 2 features an immersive Train-the-Trainer experience in partnership with the Ardmore Institute of Health (AIH). Designed for healthcare professionals seeking to implement Culinary Health Programs in their clinics and communities, the day combines lectures, hands-on cooking, and teaching kitchen demonstrations.
Under the guidance of Dr. Monica Aggarwal, culinary health specialists, and lifestyle medicine experts, participants will learn to apply AIH’s Full Plate Living® Program, develop practical culinary skills, and gain tools to implement Shared Medical Visits and teaching kitchen models. Program outcomes will be evaluated through participant assessments, skills competency checkoffs, and follow-up surveys at 3 and 6 months, supporting a growing network of Food as Medicine Champions advancing health equity and patient outcomes.
