Employability: Keeping pace with the market needs

07 Jul 2020 (Tue) 07:15 pm - 07 Jul 2020 (Tue) 06:30 pm

One of the main criteria of success for universities is how employable their graduates are. It becomes more critical in a pandemic where companies look for people who are workplace-ready. As educational institutions move to a hybrid model, blending the best of remote teaching and face-to-face learning, how do they intend to develop soft skills such as creativity, communication and conflict resolution in graduates? With fewer on-campus activities, will it require greater collaborations between businesses and universities on internships and work placements to improve graduates’ employability?
